Join Esri and enhance how our customers document, search for and find content using metadata. A key aspect of working with ArcGIS is documenting the content and items our users create and use—maps, datasets, and other items. Metadata is the information that describes these items and can be displayed and managed according to shared standards. Metadata is critical in searching for and finding the right item to use. Metadata drives trust in data providers and provides value for data publishers and aggregators.
As a senior member of our software development team, you will work with designers, product engineers, developers, and product managers to design and build improved cross-platform metadata editing and management workflows. You will work with multiple product teams to design and build infrastructure to support metadata storage, search, and display according to standards. You will be involved at every stage of product development, from brainstorming broad ideas to ensuring quality through launch. Using your full range of software development and product thinking skills, you will be responsible for delivering a stable and useful product that meets customer needs.
As a qualified candidate, you have a track record of contributing to successful outcomes for users and the business. You are a strong cross-functional partner and great communicator and are able to take a solution from idea to implementation. You uphold a high-quality bar, have a strong appreciation for details, and understand the value of clear communication.
