Our solution engineers are part of a highly skilled team that helps shape strategies on the effective adoption and use of ArcGIS. We invite you to use your problem-solving skills and passion for health and GIS technology to become an integral part of the commercial health team working with industry professionals to address complex challenges faced by private sector health and healthcare organizations. We’re looking for individuals who are natural GIS evangelists and enjoy identifying and promoting strategies that will radically improve the way organizations do business using cutting-edge ArcGIS technology. You’ll work closely with a team that helps our customers take advantage of spatial analysis to find unique patterns, trends, and understanding hidden within complex business and health-related problems.


  • Build relationships. Become a core member of an account team as you present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions.
  • Be an expert. Become a private health and healthcare subject matter expert as well as a technical expert in ArcGIS.
  • Solve problems. Understand the complex business challenges faced by our customers, then proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS addresses those challenges. Define and deliver comprehensive strategies to customers that align Esri’s software with their business.
  • Tell our story. Present GIS technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to clients. Understand how to design presentations for technical and non-technical customers within various organizations. Provide technology configuration guidance and best practices to clients, partners, and other internal teams.


  • 2+ years of experience with the ArcGIS system using editing tools, performing spatial analysis, and creating geodatabases
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the health industry
  • Relevant experience using current GIS technology at both the desktop and enterprise level, leveraging the full suite of ArcGIS tools and capabilities to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (e.g., hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, cloud computing)
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
  • Understanding of the principles of geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
  • Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, communication and listening skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 30%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in geography, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Recommended Qualifications

  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
  • Experience with private health or healthcare company (hospital, health system, health insurance provider, or health technology)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, data lakes, BI, CRM, ERP, EHRs, ETL tool and analytics platforms
  • Experience with the administration of enterprise software, preferably ArcGIS Enterprise
  • Experience incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence/machine learning concepts
