 The Esri R&D Center-Stuttgart develops the software technology SURE, which is used worldwide to reconstruct 3D surface models from images and lidar for precision mapping and reality capture applications. As one of the leading solutions in this domain, it focuses on high accuracy and large-scale applications such as aerial mapping of entire cities and countries. Responsibilities


  • Collaborate in the support team to increase customer success
  • Provide pre-sales support to Account Managers in support of achieving sales goals
  • Evaluate and process data to help and guide the customer
  • Conduct on-site and web training
  • Participate in customer and industry events
  • Support, guide, and mentor Esri’s international distributors in the sales and support of SURE
  • Assist product management by gathering customer feedback and need
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to continuously grow in team communication and self-leadership

Requirements


  • 3+ years of experience in photogrammetry and/or the mapping domain developing workflows for customers
  • 3+ years of experience working with remote sensing and imagery data in a commercial or scientific domain
  • 2+ years working with advanced remote sensing data sources such as Multispectral, SAR, Lidar, and Hyperspectral
  • Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of the geospatial market and its business models
  • Existing work authorization for Germany
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout Europe with occasional travel to the US
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written (German or another language is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, geomatics engineering, or a related field (master's preferred) 

Recommended Qualifications


  • Experience using current GIS technology and leveraging the full ArcGIS enterprise suite of tools to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (e.g., hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, cloud computing)
