Be part of a highly skilled team that leads strategies on the effective adoption and use of the broad range of ArcGIS solutions and services. Being able to bridge technical expertise with commercial acumen and driving positive influence within a matrixed organization is an exciting role at the heart of Esri Asia Pacific organization. You will drive the highest levels of technical expertise, understand key market and customer trends, and support opportunities in both a consultation and trusted advisor role. We’re looking for individuals who can lead from the front, inspire and motivate others, and will radically improve the technological challenges businesses face. You’ll lead a matrixed and virtual team working closely with our local distributors that helps our customers take advantage of spatial software.

Responsibilities


  • Empower your team. Manage the technical proposition, adoption, and implementation of Esri’s suite of solutions, while developing and mentoring a team that supports our local distributors and partners. Cultivate a virtual team of solution engineers, strategic partners, and cross-divisional resources to support the Business Development objectives and generate results.
  • Build relationships. Engage with both customers and distributors and be recognized as a technical expert in your field. Prospect, develop, and implement location strategies along with the local distributors. Proactively build your network across established and new sectors, confidence to engage with senior executives and C-level across a range of private and public companies. Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Understand our customers. Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS. Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for an organization. Understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Be an expert. Clearly articulate the strength and value of the ArcGIS suite of solutions and services. Translate a customer’s insights and problem statement into Esri’s suite of products and identify technical solutions to support our customers business objectives. Become a trusted advisor to both distributors and our customers to build confidence and cohesion through the channel.
  • Deliver results. Be a results orientated individual who can operate with a high degree of autonomy and lead a team to deliver upon tangible business outcomes inline with the regional and sector business strategy.

Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience with Esri technology using editing tools, performing spatial analysis, and creating geodatabases plus experience leading and developing a team
  • Advanced experience using current GIS technology and leveraging the full ArcGIS enterprise suite of tools to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context (e.g., hardware, software, storage, security, networking, servers, databases, web services, virtualization, cloud computing)
  • Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
  • Expert in negotiating, presenting, and visual storytelling across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with insight selling methodologies, including understanding and mitigating threats
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout Asia Pacific and occasionally travel to the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business administration, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
