You’ll lead a team that helps our customers take advantage of geoanalysis to find unique patterns, trends, and understanding hidden within complex business problems.

Responsibilities


  • Empower your team. Manage the activities of your team by strategically leading all stages of the solution engineering process. Mentor your team through active coaching, clear direction, and regular feedback. Cultivate a virtual team of solution engineers, strategic partners, and cross-divisional resources to support your team’s objectives and generate results.
  • Build relationships. Prospect, develop, and implement location strategies for your own portfolio of clients. Maintain a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities. Leverage social media to build your professional network. Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Understand our customers. Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to the application of GIS. Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for an organization. Understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes. Use whiteboard sessions to support visual storytelling.
  • Be an expert. Clearly articulate the strength and value of ArcGIS technology as it relates to the infrastructure industry. Pursue professional and personal development to ensure competitive knowledge. Support and encourage your team in their own professional and personal development.
  • Deliver results. Successfully execute the solution engineering process. Establish time-driven goals for yourself and your team that are attainable and realistic with clear indicators.

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience discovering solutions for customers using GIS
  • Experience mentoring others and leading a team on one or more tasks/projects
  • Relevant experience using current GIS technology and leveraging the full ArcGIS enterprise suite of tools to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
  • Experience with DBMS technology such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and Access
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to on-premises solutions
  • Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
  • Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Ability to travel, domestically or internationally, up to 50%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
  • Some programming and scripting experience with .NET, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Flex, and/or Silverlight, iOS, Android, HTML5
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise web applications or other web application development
  • General knowledge of spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving
