We’re looking for individuals who inspire and motivate others and who enjoy implementing strategies that will radically improve the challenges businesses face. You’ll lead a team that helps our customers take advantage of geoanalysis to find unique patterns, trends, and understanding hidden within complex business problems.

Responsibilities


  • Empower your team. Manage the technical activities of your solution engineer team by working with account and sales managers to strategically lead all technical stages of the sales process. Mentor your team through active coaching, clear direction, and regular feedback.
  • Cultivate a virtual team to support sales objectives and generate results.
  • Build relationships. Present, demonstrate, and support selling Esri software and solutions as part of the account team. Gain access to technical enterprise-level decision makers and lead technical meetings that drive revenue.
  • Be an expert. Be a technical leader of ArcGIS as well as a subject matter expert of the Natural Resources sector. Demonstrate your advanced understanding of sales strategies and initiatives to develop complex solutions for Esri’s most strategic customers.
  • Solve problems. Proactively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to our customers by addressing the critical business challenges they face.
  • Define and deliver complex strategies that align Esri technology with our largest customers’ business needs.
  • Understand an organization’s business structure, associated workflows, third party business systems, and integration points.
  • Tell our story. Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences within Esri’s largest customers. Provide configuration guidance and best practices. Present at large conferences and trade shows.

Requirements


  • 5+ years’ experience discovering solutions for customers using GIS
  • Experience mentoring others and leading a team on one or more tasks/projects
  • Relevant experience using current GIS technology and leveraging the full ArcGIS enterprise suite of tools to demonstrate Esri’s patterns of use
  • Demonstrated experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
  • Experience with DBMS technology such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, and Access
  • Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to on-premises solutions
  • Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
  • Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills
  • Ability to travel, domestically or internationally, up to 50%
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in GIS, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Recommended Qualifications


  • Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
  • Some programming and scripting experience with .NET, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Flex, and/or Silverlight, iOS, Android, HTML5
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise web applications or other web application development
  • General knowledge of spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving
