Sr Privacy & Compliance Analyst

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Privacy Analyst to join our team to expand domestic and international privacy by design. In this role, you will partner with internal marketing and IT teams as well as global distributors to ensure alignment with the organization's privacy framework while meeting the requirements of the business. You will use your privacy expertise and software/SaaS knowledge to make informed recommendations that will guide the development of new privacy features, manage our preference center, and prevent privacy issues within our various web platforms. In addition, you will be working to implement privacy features, tools, and scalable solutions to ensure that all of our customers' and employees' data is identified and protected; and that our work complies with relevant privacy laws and regulations including the NIST Privacy Framework, SOC 2 Type 2 Privacy Criteria, GDPR, HIPAA Privacy Rule, CCPA, ISO, and FERPA; as well as other privacy frameworks.

Success in this position requires communication and relationship-building with compliance teams and external auditors, superior analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as confidence, discretion, good professional judgment, and personal initiative.

Responsibilities

• Translate privacy rules and policies into robust, scalable, reusable solutions that protect user privacy while enabling safe, transparent use of data
• Support marketing, legal, and IT teams with education, implementation, and validation across our websites and technology
• Partner with marketing technology team to assist and inform the continuous improvement of Esri's cookie-less data strategy
• Support and develop privacy-related due diligence assessments, Privacy Impact Assessments, and customer privacy queries for information governance, data protection, and development of controls to measure risk
• Conduct review of Esri privacy posture in relation to global and domestic privacy law and associated frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, NIST, ISO, HIPPA, FERPA, COPPA, and more) to align digital platforms with privacy standards
• Track exceptions and risks to privacy policies, standards, controls, and configuration requirements for reporting to management, auditors, and clients
• Discover and document how data is collected, processed, and stored across our products and infrastructure to ensure our data collection and usage practices are transparent; protect user privacy; and mitigate risk

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience with similar responsibilities
  • 3+ years of experience working within a data privacy program, privacy policy, security compliance, information governance, or program management
• Familiarity with global and domestic privacy laws and associated frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and/or other governance privacy regulatory requirements)
• Knowledge of OneTrust Platform to support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and DPIA as part of the Privacy Program Management process
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with IT, legal, and other business units
• Strong interest in understanding and solving data challenges with expertise in information governance, data protection, and privacy policy
• Ability to translate business needs into solutions, as well as knowledge of enterprise systems, networks, databases, and other technical domains
• Strong ability to understand and solve data challenges with experience in information governance, data protection, and privacy compliance
• Bachelors degree in information systems, computer science, or related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
• IAPP Certification (CIPP, CIPM or CIPT) or CISA highly desired

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $87,360.00 - $150,800.00.
