Overview


As a member of the IT core technology services group, you will provide direct support for a dynamic research and development team working on the latest ArcGIS enterprise--artificial intelligence technology and supporting ArcGIS Online platform. Responsibilities


  • Manage inventory of technology assets by keeping asset registers and other documentation up to date
  • Work closely with vendors to coordinate receiving of equipment and resolving issues with installed equipment
  • Help data scientists and developers with Windows and Linux installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Help with installation and troubleshooting of desktop and server grade GPUs (NVIDIA) on Windows and Linux
  • Take ownership of desktop support for employees in the Esri R&D Center-New Delhi
  • Perform day-to-day management of server platforms (Windows or Linux), printers, and file servers
  • Perform deployment and management of virtual machines using VMWare
  • Partner with the ArcGIS Online DevOps team to support their infrastructure
  • Through a mindset of continuous improvement, regularly assess and provide feedback on opportunities to improve operations
  • Provide operational reporting to leadership on a regular basis and participate in governance meetings
  • Contribute to a follow the sun support model by acting as a resource for the global IT team

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience working as a desktop and server support engineer on various platforms including Windows, Linux, and VMware
  • 2+ years of cloud computing experience, specifically AWS and Azure
  • 1+ years of experience working with NVIDIA GPUs
  • Experience working with multiple vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work across geographies
  • Flexible to work after hours to support business needs
  • Bachelor's in computer science or information technology

Recommended Qualifications


  • 4+ years of experience working as a desktop and network engineer in a multinational company
  • Experience with containers and containerized management
  • Knowledge of scripting and infrastructure automation
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking devices and network cabling, Juniper firewall appliances, and VPN appliances
