Technical Consultant

Overview

In this position, you will work closely with clients to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS technology to their business, and help shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. You will provide vision and thought leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and support its development and growth into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company.

This team supports our Department of Defense clients. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate engineers to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world. The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful. 

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform
• Provide platform configuration guidance and best practices to customers
• Understand how Esri technology integrates/interfaces with customers` solutions vision
• Pro-actively craft and propose solutions that clarify how GIS brings business value to address critical business challenges faced by customers
• Present complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizations

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
• Professional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, server, and on-line)
• Programming and scripting experience with Python, Javascript, and HTML5
• Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud
• Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This could include a Top Secret Clearance (TS), a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (TS/SCI), a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Scope (CI) and/or a Full Scope/Lifestyle
• Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

• Master`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is $74,880 - $150,280.
