Utilize your strong GIS technical know-how and transportation domain expertise to support both new customers and seasoned users in developing best practices for implementing Esri's enterprise platform to realize their vision and drive toward their goals. You'll work with domestic and international transportation agencies as a facilitator and leader to help customers and partners use the ArcGIS platform to realize their vision and drive toward their goals. You will lead the technical vision and successful deployment by listening to customer requirements and creating application ideas that are innovative and drive results.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with team members to help customer organizations achieve their technical objectives and business goals the best way with ArcGIS
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for customers; provide proactive advice on relevant GIS strategies, architectures, best practices, product selection, and release planning
  • Lead the technical vision, prototype configuration/development, and support staged deployment of apps leveraging COTS capabilities and templates first
  • Understand how Esri’s technology integrates with and enables the customer's solutions vision
  • Lead holistic discussions about governance, policy, best practices, and standards
  • Prepare and present high-quality business and technical communications
  • Plan and participate in regular customer planning and technology exchange meetings
  • Identify themes, trends, and practices among successful customers and share them with the broader technical consultant community

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (desktop, server, and online) for transportation organizations
  • Demonstrated experience configuring Esri apps including Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS, Survey 123 for ArcGIS, Collector for ArcGIS, Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, state and local government app templates, Workforce for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS StoryMaps
  • Experience administering ArcGiS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate and translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
  • Be creative, self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, and team-oriented 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn--you must thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
  • Bachelor’s in geography, computer science, transportation planning or engineering, GIS, or a related field, depending on position level
