Overview


ArcGIS StoryMaps is Esri's increasingly popular suite of web apps that enable people to tell stories by combining maps with narrative, images, and other media. We are looking for exceptional people to help us look beyond the traditional uses of GIS and continue to reach new audiences with Esri software.

 

In this role, you will be at the heart of Esri’s automation process, developing test automation for our product team. You will have the opportunity to automate current manual tests and help build and maintain the framework to test to web and mobile platforms. You will be part of a fast-paced innovative team and will have good opportunities to bring in new ideas in the areas of testing and automation.

Responsibilities


  • Design and develop automation tests for web, API, and native mobile apps

  • Design and develop performance and load testing

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation systems and tools to be used by development and test engineers

  • Utilize innovative test technologies to develop product test strategies

  • Design and develop test plans and test cases, write test code, and execute and analyze tests to support and enhance overall product quality

  • Report results that communicate status in an easy-to-understand manner

Requirements


  • 2+ years of real-world software testing experience
  • Experience developing web and native mobile automation tests
  • Experience with software testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypruss.io or related tools
  • Expertise in one or more of the following programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks as needed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
  • Self-motivated and have an interest in continuous learning
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science, engineering, or a related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications


  • 1+ years of software development experience
  • Knowledge of unit testing framework like Jest, Mocha, JUnit or similar
  • Experience analyzing code coverage using industry standard tools such as BullsEye and Coverity
  • Understanding of the Agile software development life cycle
