Apply your creativity as a developer and analytical skills to help our software products team develop test harnesses and deploy ArcGIS Pro. In this role, you will work with software developers and product engineers in ensuring that ArcGIS Pro ships with minimal defects. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your automated and manual testing skills. As an ArcGIS Pro quality specialist, you will exercise your GIS expertise and testing approaches using technologies such as C# and Python. You will program both unit tests and complicated automated workflow test harnesses.


  • Design, develop, and automate programmatic regression tests and user interface tests
  • Design, document, and execute acceptance criteria workflows and user scenarios
  • Analyze daily test results and report daily quality status
  • Use your programming skills to develop automated reporting of software quality
  • Collaborate and interact with other teams and quality specialists to ensure top quality for cross-team efforts


  • 2+ years of experience testing software programmatically
  • Knowledge of GIS and remote sensing
  • Excellent test engineering and problem-solving skills
  • Strong development skills using C# or Python
  • Willingness to transition your programming focus to C# if necessary
  • A passion for writing test harnesses that make software the best it can be
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills that contribute to producing quality commercial software
  • Bachelor’s in GIS, computer science, engineering, or related field, depending on position level

Recommended Qualifications

  • 2+years of test engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience with ArcGIS
  • Experience with PyUnit, JUnit, CppUnit, Selenium, or other testing frameworks
  • Experience with remote sensing and image processing
  • Familiarity with raster and imagery data formats
