You'll work with top consultants and developers in our Professional Services Division to generate concepts, design, and implement UI capabilities that are focused, unique, and innovative as we build the next generation ArcGIS Monitor product. Use your unique combination of visual skills and technical background to inspire design and create compelling user experiences that have a direct impact on our user community.

ArcGIS Monitor is a product uniquely tailored to monitor the system health, performance, and usage of ArcGIS implementations throughout the lifecycle.  By observing and analyzing both traditional and cloud infrastructure, software, and supporting system metrics, we empower organizations to optimize their ArcGIS systems by detecting anomalies, reduce costs with more effective operations, and understand overall system performance and capacity.

Responsibilities


  • Design, architect, and develop innovative, engaging, and visually striking user interfaces
  • Solve complex business problems and communicate through wireframes and high fidelity mockups
  • Implement rapid prototypes and business application front-ends using the latest web technologies
  • Work closely with software developers and consultants to ensure a working end-to-end solution that is consistent, efficient, and robust
  • Evolve your development skills by staying current with complementary languages, methodologies, and software design techniques
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to members of the design team and colleagues in our Professional Services Division

Requirements


  • 3+ years of practical experience in a related field
  • Experience in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as VueJS
  • Proficient with web and mobile development, including responsive design and interaction patterns
  • Bachelor's in computer science, human computer interaction, human factors, or graphic design

Recommended Qualifications


  • Ability to interface with customers, gather requirements, and apply design best practices
  • Solid understanding of UX methods and a keen eye for graphical design
  • Experience taking a concept from research to sketch and final implementation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations
  • Proven ability to collaborate, communicate, and defend your conceptual ideas and design rationale
  • Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
  • Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
