Michael Young is the CISO for Esri products. Leading Esri's software security and privacy team, he works collaboratively with business and technical leaders, both within the company and with customers, to continuously advance the security and privacy of geospatial solutions.
Michael was recognized as a Computerworld 2017 Premier 100 Technology Leader based on his leading the key security advancements and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliance efforts at Esri. An elected Esri fellow, Michael holds an MBA with information technology concentration from the University of Redlands as well as an engineering undergraduate degree, and he has over 20 years of experience in information security. His industry credentials include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT).
Though Michael now focuses on securing information system clouds, his career started with designing and securing prototype vehicle alternative fuel "clouds" ranging from fuel cells to natural gas.
