Building Apps with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript

Learn how to use ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript to build high-performing, compelling web applications. This course introduces a variety of capabilities available in the API and how to use them in a JavaScript-based web application. The workshop spans introductory concepts to more advanced topics and is based on modern tools and frameworks. At the end of the workshop, there will be an opportunity for attendees to experiment with an early release of JavaScript Maps SDK web components, an exciting addition to the SDK roadmap.
Prerequisite: Students are expected to be fairly comfortable and experienced with the basics of the JavaScript language, at least at the intermediate level.

ArcGIS Experience Builder for Developers

ArcGIS Experience Builder is highly configurable, yet extensible. This one-day workshop will help you first explore the basic building blocks that ArcGIS Experience Builder offers, like templates, widgets, data source, and themes, and how they work together seamlessly for a mobile optimized web experience. Then, we will take a deep dive into its framework, called Jimu, and learn how to customize web apps with custom widgets and themes, including actions to make widgets communicate with each other and with the framework; access data sources; and use StoryBook to play with user interface (UI) components. Get tips and tricks to help you be successful when extending Experience Builder.
Prerequisites:
- Have a basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
- Have a personal computer with Node.js (LTS version 16) installed.
- Have a latest ArcGIS Experience Builder developer edition version 1.12 installed by following the installation guide.
- Have an ArcGIS Developer account or are a member of an ArcGIS organization with a user type that includes privileges to create content.

Join us for a one-day, hands-on workshop focused on how you can leverage ArcGIS Arcade to enhance the mobile user’s experience, automate data capture, and enhance editing workflows within Field Maps. In addition, you will learn how you can leverage the automation tools, Power Automate and Make, to further integrate Field Maps into existing business processes.
