Nick Okafor
Sidewalk Labs
Nick is a senior associate of commercialization at Sidewalk Urban Systems within Sidewalk Labs, an urban innovation company that tackles cities' greatest challenges. As a strategist and design researcher, he advocates for radical rethinking of the tools used to create a more equitable society. He believes that technology paired with inclusive design and engagement can help enrich urban sectors. Prior to joining Sidewalk Labs, Nick was an associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Washington, DC. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and sustainable development from Washington University in St. Louis.
Miriam Olivares
Yale University
Miriam is a GIS educator, researcher, and librarian at Yale University with an extensive knowledge of geospatial applications across disciplines, including government and private sectors. In addition to connecting experts and advising on GIS integration into a variety of fields, Miriam is highly skilled in spatial data acquisition, curation, and management. She holds a master's degree in land development from Texas A&M University.
Mōno Simeone
UCSF
Mōno is a GIS manager at UCSF with 20 years of geospatial technology experience, including nearly a decade spent teaching GIS. He is passionate about using geography to empower people and enhance decision-making. He has worked on an array of community improvement projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, such as construction logistics, planning analysis, crime analysis and reporting, and invasive species mapping and cartography.
Dr. Lilian Pintea
Jane Goodall Institute
Lilian is vice president of conservation science at the Jane Goodall Institute. He oversees all science activities and functions; supports departments and offices; and brings targeted research, analysis, and technological innovation to support the institute's mission.
