Sean Tucker is the GIS application supervisor with the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). Sean chairs the GIS Steering Committee which consolidates and coordinates SCAG’s GIS strategy. Sean led SCAG’s operationalization of governance that aligns policies, patterns, and practices across all GIS applications and data products. He serves as a technical IT lead for SCAG’s Regional Data Platform, which facilitates data exchange among the region’s 197 jurisdictions. He holds degrees in computer science, anthropology, and public service and public policy and is engaged in graduate studies in information seeking and behavior.
