Olivier Cottray joined the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) in January 2012. He is in charge of managing the team that provides information management capacity development and technical support to the mine action community.
Prior to the GICHD, he worked in humanitarian emergencies, running geographic information systems (GIS) support cells in UN and NGOs field operations. He helped found the NGO MapAction, a rapid response organization that provides immediate IM/GIS support.
Cottray has a master’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Cambridge.
