About Gloria

Chief Gloria Chavez began her career with U.S. Border Patrol on May 14, 1995. Her first duty assignment as a Border Patrol agent was at the Imperial Beach Station in the San Diego Sector where she later, in 2002, was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent. In 2005, she was promoted to Assistant Chief at U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters in Washington, D.C., assigned to the Office of Strategic Policy, Planning and Analysis and the Special Operations Division-Foreign Operations Branch. Throughout her 24-year U.S. Border Patrol career, Chavez has participated in numerous temporary enforcement and administrative assignments in the field and headquarters environment.
