Jeff Baranyi currently serves as the Emergency Management and Fire Technical Lead on the Esri Public Safety Team. He is responsible for working closely with Esri’s Public Safety team and customers to define and advocate a set of industry focused solutions that promote the vision and value of the ArcGIS platform. Jeff also is the Operations Manager for the Esri Disaster Response Program (DRP). He is responsible for ensuring the program is operating effectively to support organizations and agencies impacted by complex emergencies and crisis. He recently lead Esri’s response efforts for Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and Maria. He has supported Esri disaster response technical operations for many disasters over the years including Hurricane Matthew, 2016 Louisiana flooding, 2016 Texas flooding, European Refugee Crisis, 2013 Colorado flooding, 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami, Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and many others. He has been with Esri since 2000 and started as a consultant in the Professional Services Group. Mr. Baranyi holds a Masters of Engineering in Applied Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan.
