Kevin Harrison has been a member of the FDNY for over 23 years and has served on the FDNY Incident Management Team since 2009. He is currently a Battalion Chief assigned to the Times Square area of Manhattan. He is the Deputy Incident Commander for the FDNY’s Type 2 All Hazard Incident Management Team. Since 2009 he has been deployed to multiple All Hazards Incidents and Type1 Wildland Fires across the United States.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Temple University and Master’s degree in Homeland Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a certified and experienced Master Exercise Practioners and FEMA ICS instructor.
Chief Harrison previously was the Chief of Emergency Preparedness for the FDNY. In this role he coordinated multi-agency efforts to identify response strategies for current and future threat environments facing New York City. Through this role Chief Harrison has coordinated a city wide effort to develop and implement information sharing strategies and protocols between New York City emergency response agencies.
