FNT GeoMaps is a geo-intelligent solution component within the FNT Command platform, FNT’s documentation, management and planning solution. It combines FNT's strong cable and outside/inside plant management capability with Esri’s market-leading ArcGIS functionalities to build a best of breed Cable and Infrastructure Management solution. This unique pairing makes it possible for users to ensure their cable and network infrastructure is optimized end-to-end to handle the demands of the digital world.  

FNT GeoMaps and the FNT Command platform give users much-needed transparency across all resources and domains in their passive network infrastructure, both inside buildings and between buildings and facilities. The powerful combination of FNT’s Cable and Outside Plant Management solution and Esri’s geospatial tools delivers fully integrated cable management and GIS capability to enable knowledge-based decisions about critical infrastructure. 

• Planning and Rollout Management

FNT GeoMaps supports use cases from georeferenced rough planning of the network infrastructure to detailed planning of cable and outside plant resources. This infrastructure, which includes tray sections and nodes, can be further described with assigned assets and resources such as ducts, splice closures or any other passive or active components. Comprehensive auto-routing capabilities and validation rules ensure a high-quality result of the planning tasks end-to.end from outside to inside plant. 

• Infrastructure Operations

Mitigating service interruption is easier when information about where an outage occurred and what services are affected is readily available. FNT GeoMaps provides immediate answers in the form of georeferenced localization, for example the position of a cable break or the location of a maintenance activity by using OTDR measurement data. Location-based mapping and analytics capabilities also enable swift and informed response to customer requests and complaints. Based on the combination of passive infrastructure with network and service resource data, the FNT solution provides immediate impact analysis in case of failure taking into account redundant routings on physical as well as on logical layers.

FNT GeoMaps simplifies complex capacity management use cases by providing georeferenced visualization on maps in combination with the relevant data about available and used resources across all the resource hierarchies.
