Overview

This layer presents road closure and detour information that has been created in the Road Closures solution, found in the ArcGIS Solutions Gallery.  Road Closures can be used to maintain an inventory of road closures and communicate closures and detours to travelers.

The layer is intended for use by Esri Community Maps Contributors that are actively sharing road closure data for use by Esri and its partners.  It is intended for use within their respective ArcGIS Online organizations, and not for public sharing.

The layer includes current and planned road closures, as well as road closures from the recent past.  Recent closures are only shown for up to 72 hours past their 'end time.' The layer checks for additions and updates from Contributors every 15 minutes, and will automatically refresh every 5 minutes if used in an ArcGIS web map or app.

If you are actively contributing road closures through Esri Community Maps then you can request access to this feature layer and it will be reviewed and approved.  If you would like access to the layer but are not currently contributing, you can get started by deploying the Road Closure solution and then share with Esri Community Maps (see FAQ for details).
