Overview
PHC Global is a leader in biosecurity intelligence, enhancing business resilience against biological threats. We combine complex data with tactical and strategic intelligence to empower organizations to confidently respond and stay ahead of emerging biological risks.
PHC Global’s Biosecurity Intelligence (BI) offering fills a blind spot in your organization’s risk portfolio. Biological risks threaten business continuity and employee safety, frequently combining in complex ways to create unique and profound challenges. PHC Global’s BI layers provide alerts and recommendations to help organizations prepare and respond, ensuring economic security and a safe working environment.
Our Biosecurity Intelligence (BI) solution combines artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) with expert analysis to turn vast data into precise alerts. Developed by epidemiologists and public health leaders, our intelligence empowers business leaders to answer these critical questions:
What are the risks to my assets?
What is going on in the world?
What controls can I put in place now to protect my assets?
How does our business benchmark against our peers?
PHC Global’s BI solution offers unparalleled spatial flexibility, freeing users from the limitations of predetermined administrative boundaries. This empowers users to create customized regions, zones, or areas specifically designed to meet their organizational goals. Integrating PHC Global’s BI solution into your ArcGIS application or dashboard provides anticipatory and actionable intelligence to your comprehensive risk view. It’s not just about managing risks but staying ahead of them.
Our BI layers include a geographic integration that captures how PHC Global datasets correspond to ISO, FIPS, and local identifier codes across varying geographies. The location_code field aligns with the location_id field in our alerts, analyses and various risk layers.
The following datasets are integrated into our BI solution:
Alerts
This dataset provides early warning of emerging biological threat events around the globe; concise, expert recommendations for how businesses can mitigate their impact; and PHC Global’s confidence in the credibility of the media sources that underpin each event. Alerts capture the range of biological threats, including bioterrorism (intentional or unintentional), food- and waterborne diseases (such as norovirus or cholera), seasonal and atypical influenza infections, environmental risks, viral hemorrhagic diseases (such as Ebola or Marburg), and anomalies. This dataset is currently available at a global level.
Viral Respiratory Illness Risk
This dataset presents the risk from all viral respiratory agents–often referred to as influenza-like illnesses (ILI)–the direction that risk is trending in, and PHC Global’s confidence in this metric based on the credibility, suitability, and representativeness of the data sources that support our modeling outputs. It is currently available in the United States at the national, state, and local levels.
COVID-19 Risk
This dataset presents the risk from COVID-19, the direction in which risk is trending, and PHC Global’s confidence in this metric based on the credibility, suitability, and representativeness of the data sources that support our modeling outputs. It is currently available for the United States at the national and state levels and for select countries across the globe at the national level.
Influenza Risk
This dataset presents the risk from influenza virus infections, the direction in which risk is trending, and PHC Global’s confidence in this metric based on the credibility, suitability, and representativeness of the data sources supporting our modeling outputs. It is currently available for the United States at the national, state, and local level and for various countries across the globe at the national level.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Risk
This dataset presents the risk from RSV infections, the direction that risk is trending in, and PHC Global’s confidence in this metric based on the credibility, suitability, and representativeness of the data sources that support our modeling outputs. It is currently available for the United States at the national and state level.
