Global risk ratings

Dragonfly’s global risk ratings are the most comprehensive threat and risk scores for security and crisis management. They are used by risk decision makers, security specialists and intelligence analysts to overlay risks to their physical assets, supply chains, travellers and business operations, and have application in  visualisation, geospatial analysis, risk profiling, data analysis and a host of other use cases.

The scores assess risk of civil conflict, civil unrest, climatic risks, corruption, crisis risk, cyber threat exposure, domestic movement restrictions, general crime, governance, infectious diseases, infrastructure, interstate conflict, kidnap, LGBTQ+ discrimination, medical services, national cyber resilience, organised crime, overland travel, personal cyber risk, regime instability, security & safety, state agency, tectonic, terrorism risk, and terrorism threat. 

Each risk category is allocated a score ranging from negligible to critical/extreme, generating an overall country risk score.

The data set is global and contains data on 200+ countries, 700+ cities, and all 20+ risk categories. Risk scores are reviewed and updated by Dragonfly analysts on a rolling basis, with some scores such as climatic risk also adjusted (where required) on a monthly schedule to reflect seasonal changes.
