Overview

The Trimble DA2 GNSS receiver is a lightweight and incredibly low-cost GNSS receiver, that pairs with the Catalyst service to provide precise location data to mobile apps, with reliable accuracy down to 1 cm easily achievable.

Performance of the DA2 is controlled via a subscription service, with affordable monthly or annual pricing tiers based on your desired position precision-level.  For occasional users, pre-paid 'on demand' hourly pricing is also available. By enabling the functionality of DA2 (MSRP <$500) with this time-based pricing, the upfront costs of precision mobile GIS field work are largely eliminated.

Performance options of 1, 10, 30, and 60 cm performance are available, with all required correction services (including both Trimble VRS Now, and Trimble RTX) automatically delivered to the receiver as part of the Catalyst service. No seperate or additional correction services are required, and DA2 works in both online or offline conditions, with GNSS corrections able to be delivered via internet and via satellite to the DA2 receiver's antenna for those working in remote or disconnected environments.

"Under the hood", DA2 is powered by Trimble ProPoint GNSS technology, the same positioning engine as used by Trimble's most capable survey-grade GNSS receivers, which ensures that DA2 is able to generate the best possible precision even in tough satellite tracking environments.  Corrections are automatically managed by the receiver, with little or no manual configuration required.

Users simply purchase DA2, and subscribe to the desired precision level. The Catalyst service can be used by individuals or teams of any size; monthly and annual pricing is based on a per-user basis. The service is available worldwide, and purchasable through Trimble's international network of distribution partners.
