This web application configuration allows users to open an online widget and select customers to receive notices of outages, boil water recommendations, or other events requiring immediate transmission of informational materials. Users can make selections within the application via buffering asset data, municipal boundaries, saved
areas, freehand drawing, or defined radial distance from a chosen point. Along with providing customization options to meet individual customer needs, the output configuration allows for export to a CSV file, saved layer in the application, or direct posting to a public facing web map. Users can also choose to send situational awareness notices directly to staff to share information including a listing of critical customers (i.e., hospitals or assisted living facilities) impacted or counts of affected water tanks, hydrants, and/or customers.
