Founded in 1999, GeoSpatial Innovations, Inc. (GSI) is a private, woman-owned software company providing software and services across North America. GSI delivers industry-leading software to improve productivity and safety for workers engaged in natural gas & electric design and optimization, vegetation management, and GIS implementation services. GSI is a certified Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS
GSI Distribution Design Studio (DDS) is a comprehensive software solution that improves the design process by combining robust GIS/CAD rendering and editing capabilities with GPS/GNSS and intuitive, efficient toolsets to streamline electric and gas workflows, reduce design cycle times, and share design information with internal and external systems (such as GIS, WMS).
DDS incorporates end-to-end electric and gas line design workflows, generates necessary reporting outputs, and includes comprehensive engineering analyses including: structural analysis, clearance analysis, overhead profile view, electrical analysis, underground cable pulling/pushing, and optimization. DDS also supports third-party attachments on poles including clearance analysis, structural analysis, and other aspects of the joint attachment workflow.

GSI Designer provides field design capabilities on tablets and phones (iOS and Android). There is support for various types of GPS/GNSS receivers. Interactable Esri GIS maps, extensive design tools, and compatible unit assignment are all integrated into this application.
GSI Designer is integrated with our GSI web portal to manage projects and synchronize design data to the cloud. This process utilizes the GSI Designer iOS or Android app on a tablet or phone. The workflow involves projects being created on the device or in the web portal, which can be synchronized back and forth. When the project is synchronized to the device, the user can add, edit or delete GPS collected data and unit assignments, as well as use a variety of design tools and functionality. The project can also be synchronized to the server and viewed in the web portal at any time. GSI Designer can also be tightly integrated with DDS.
