The 2022 Tribal ArcGIS StoryMaps Challenge, hosted by Esri, encourages US tribal nations and members and college students to tell place-based stories about tribal heritage and sustainability.
Story submissions may feature any topic related to US tribal nations, including the following:
Our guest judges selected a winner and a runner-up in each of the categories. For the People’s Choice Award, members of the public voted on their favorite story.
Congratulations to our inspiring storytellers.
We encouraged our tribal colleges and universities to participate in this year’s challenge. Here is the winner’s map.
Our judges came together to vote on three aspects of each ArcGIS StoryMaps story: design, impact, and effective use of the geographic information system (GIS) and story visualizations.
See the People’s Choice Award winners. We asked members of the public to vote, and here are their favorite Tribal ArcGIS StoryMaps stories.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2022 Tribal ArcGIS StoryMaps Challenge.
