SAFETY & SECURITY

Lockheed Martin builds a powerful solution from the ground up

Lockheed Martin needed a way to track and support the safety, health, and security of staff, facilities, and assets.

Working with their Advantage Program advisor, they ideated and built the Global Emergency Operations Center (GEOC): a 24/7/365 solution to monitor global threats using data collected in GIS. And, with the expertise their team gained during the process, they now primarily manage GEOC with in-house resources.

FedEx extends their enterprise GIS capability

Esri supported FedEx through the Advantage Program, working with the IT group to deploy and enhance their enterprise GIS.

Now, business units across FedEx can use this strong foundation to build GIS-powered tools—including a sophisticated system for monitoring their fleet of airplanes to keep the company’s complex global services on track.

STATE & LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The City of Raleigh, North Carolina, stays ahead of rapid growth

The City of Raleigh had a vision to bring modern, equitable services to their rapidly growing community—they just needed a strategy for using GIS technology to get them there.

The Advantage Program gave them the partnership and guidance they needed to deploy GIS as a core platform that integrates citywide data, centralizes decision-making, and supports public engagement. Now an Advantage Program customer for over 10 years, the city continues to take on new, innovative initiatives.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Tampa International Airport creates a modern operational hub

Tampa International Airport was using paper-based workflows to manage operations. With over 23 million annual passengers and an average of 550 daily flights, they needed to modernize to maintain a high-quality experience for travelers.

The Advantage Program helped their GIS team of just two people transition the entire airport to a GIS-enabled command center that keeps their departments operating in sync—from concessions to emergency management to planning and development.

UTILITIES

The Lower Valley Water District extends GIS enterprise-wide

The Lower Valley Water District in El Paso County, Texas, wanted to modernize across the enterprise with GIS—but without a dedicated GIS team, they needed help.

With their Esri Advantage Program advisor to help them access training and turn big ideas into practical solutions, they went from just 15 GIS users to 80. Now, they are using GIS to create apps that can support business units from water rights management to meter maintenance.
