What motivated you to pursue Esri technical certification?
I was motivated to pursue Esri technical certification to validate my expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise administration and strengthen my professional credibility as a GIS administrator. In my daily work I design, manage, and optimize enterprise GIS infrastructures, and achieving this certification allowed me to demonstrate my practical experience with deploying, securing, and maintaining ArcGIS Enterprise environments. It also helps me contribute more effectively to large-scale geospatial projects and support organizations in building reliable GIS platforms.
What was your biggest challenge when preparing for the exam, and how did you solve it?
The biggest challenge was preparing for scenario-based questions that required understanding how different ArcGIS Enterprise components interact in complex environments. Although I have several years of experience working as a GIS administrator, the exam required a deeper focus on architecture, best practices, and troubleshooting across the entire ArcGIS Enterprise stack. To address this, I reviewed Esri documentation and carefully analyzed system architecture scenarios to reinforce my existing experience with Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and Web Adaptor.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering an Esri technical certification?
My advice is to focus on hands-on experience with real ArcGIS systems rather than only studying theory. Working directly with components such as Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Data Store helps build a deeper understanding of enterprise GIS environments and prepares you effectively for Esri certification exams.
