Among New Solver Functionalities

ArcLogistics Route 3 Provides Two-Time Window and Second-Day Routing

ArcLogistics Route logoArcLogistics Route 3 is a major new release of Esri's fully interactive and easy-to-use desktop routing and scheduling software application. ArcLogistics Route helps Businesses and organizations deliver goods or services more efficiently, reducing costs and improving customer service.

"ArcLogistics Route 3 has a full feature set that makes it the most effective and economic tool to use for desktop logistics routing today," says Karl Terrey, ArcLogistics Route product manager, Esri.

ArcLogistics Route 3 adds flexibility by allowing users to have a second time option for service and to set a grace period within which an order can be serviced and still be considered on time. Orders can be prioritized so that high-priority orders always get routed when routing all orders is impossible. Also, ArcLogistics Route 3 allows second-day routing, which is helpful for users who need to route their vehicles past midnight. Additional enhancements include improved architecture for customization and new application framework features.

ArcLogistics Route includes Dynamap/Transportation street data from GDT for use in the United States. This street data includes node elevations and features one-way streets, physical turn restrictions, improved ramp structures, calculated speed information, and a geocodable database. Additionally, ArcLogistics Route 3 comes with an upgrade from Crystal Reports Version 7.0 to Version 8.0.

ArcLogistics Route 3 works with Windows 98 and 2000, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows Me operating systems.
