MapObjects 2.1 Offers Powerful New Features

Esri's new MapObjects 2.1 offers numerous new features, including support for

  • AutoCAD 2000 DWG files
  • U.S. StreetMap for geocoding
  • ArcSDE 8.1, as well as Geodatabase versioning and direct connect support

MapObjects 2.1 has built-in compatibility with Esri's ArcIMS. You can use MapObjects to put dynamic, customizable maps on the Internet via the ArcIMS technology.

MapObjects consists of an ActiveX control with more than 45 automation objects that can be plugged into standard Windows development environments such as Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), Visual C++, Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, Visual FoxPro, and PowerBuilder.
