San Diego Traffic Forecasts

The San Diego, California, Association of Governments (SANDAG) has developed the Transportation Forecast Information Center (TFIC) Web site, which gives users quick access to forecasted traffic volumes for the San Diego region. Powered by ArcIMS, TFIC provides regional road maps showing forecasted average weekday 24-hour traffic volume for five different forecast years (2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, or 2020), name and type of roadways, number of lanes, and posted speed limit. Users can also print maps and select roads to list additional information. There are two versions of TFIC-basic and enhanced. The basic version serves the public, while the enhanced version for transportation professionals provides additional information such as traffic analysis zones (TAZ), zone connectors, zone-level trip generation, and land use forecasts.
