RouteMAP IMS Is Now Shipping!

RouteMAP IMS product logoEsri's newest Internet Map Server (IMS) application, RouteMAP IMS, began shipping November 1, 1999. RouteMAP IMS is unique because it offers an affordable, out-of-the-box Internet mapping and routing solution--$2,995 for the first CPU and $495 for each additional CPU. It is easy to use, requiring no programming to create custom maps of the United States with symbols for your organization's locations. Customers visiting a company's Web site can get maps with driving instructions to various locations anywhere in the continental United States without ever having to leave that company's Internet site.

Though RouteMAP IMS is a great way for commercial Businesses to help navigate their online hits to in-store visits, local governments can use RouteMAP IMS to help citizens locate the nearest polling stations and get driving directions at election time.

RouteMAP IMS mapThe functionality of RouteMAP IMS stands far above any competing Web-based mapping and routing application. For starters, being an out-of-the-box solution means RouteMAP IMS is easy to use and can be installed in less than one hour. RouteMAP IMS offers the user total control over what maps they serve on their Web site, since the data and software go on the user's server, and the user can change the maps at anytime or serve an unlimited number of maps--there are no limits. RouteMAP IMS is much more affordable than any other Internet mapping and routing application on the market today. The cost of geocoding a database in other products may actually be more expensive than the total cost of RouteMAP IMS. And RouteMAP IMS is not priced on a per transaction basis, where the number of Web visitors determines the cost of serving the maps.
