GIS is today by no means an “IT island” anymore. The GIS needs to be integrated with a number of other important, if not mission critical IT systems within utilities. Typical systems to be integrated are • Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), like SAP, Oracle Financials or Microsoft Dynamics • Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) • SCADA and DMS systems • Network calculation systems The UT Product Suite therefore also offers two integration components. The UT Integrator has been designed for near real-time synchronization of data, and the UT NCS (Network Calculation Service) has been designed for bulk transfer of data from time to time for desktop-based network calculation integration. Some of the key functionality of UT Integrator: • Interfaces towards remote systems: SOAP / REST / XML, ODATA, table reader, CSV file reader • SAP specific interfaces: IDOC, RFC • Other enterprise buses (e.g. WBI, Biztalk, SAP XI etc.) may be integrated • Reliable and secured communication, extensive logging The UT Integrator has been certified for integration with SAP ERP 6.0 by SAP SE.
