Overview:

At dymaptic, we have a wide variety of technical and industry-specific skillsets. When we take on a new project, we approach it with a top-down perspective, analyzing the customer’s problems at a high level and then progressively drilling into what potential solutions would look like. As we delve into the question at hand, our team’s broad array of experiences allows us to start from a loosely defined set of needs and create a well-defined project roadmap with discovery, design, implementation, testing, and rollout phases. Although we consider ourselves a GIS software development firm first and foremost, we do not solely rely on custom solutions. We know that there is a wide variety of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software available that, in many cases, will do exactly what a customer needs. We happily recommend such software to our customers and will help them implement third-party solutions. Other times, we find that a third-party product will meet many of the customer’s requirements, but will still require some manner of customization to address shortcomings in the product itself or, very commonly, to build a bridge between the COTS product and existing systems. In those instances, our deep understanding of software and systems enables us to not only identify and help implement an appropriate COTS product, but to provide technical consulting services to ensure the product functions as needed.
