GCR Inc., an international professional services firm, partners with government and commercial clients to deliver consulting services and technology solutions in aviation, disaster recovery, elections, nuclear power, public safety, right-of-way and urban planning.
The experts at GCR, from planners to aviation experts to software developers, all share a common goal: to solve our client’s problems – with intelligence.
At its core, GCR is a consulting firm. The tools, techniques and technologies developed in our consulting work have opened doors in other areas, including aviation consulting, right-of-way acquisition, disaster recovery, custom software development, utility and nuclear industry consulting, and jurisdictional analysis.
What differentiates GCR from other consulting firms is our deep focus on technology – and what sets us apart from other technology firms is that we see technology not as a goal in itself, but as a means of providing our clients with the information necessary to create the best solutions to their problems.
GCR has extensive expertise in GIS technology and understands the power and benefit of geographically driven information. We have been a business partner with Esri, Inc. for more than two decades. GCR has scores of GIS applications that have been developed in ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server technology including ArcGIS Online.
Local, state, and federal agencies rely on GCR’s expertise in GIS and demographic data for daily operations. This includes an enterprise-level management system for state-owned buildings through the Louisiana Division of Administration; national transportation projects for the Federal Department of Transportation; and GIS-managed land acquisition projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Additionally, GCR has been called upon for numerous GIS-related recovery efforts post-Katrina, Rita, Isaac and Sandy. We have assisted FEMA with GIS management systems during the immediate cleanup efforts and currently assist with GIS parcel-level data management for the Road Home Program. GCR also created and maintains GIS portals for transparency of Hurricane Sandy funds for New York and New Jersey.
