GeoComm School Safety is a digital mapping solution that helps schools and public safety agencies respond more quickly and confidently to emergencies. The solution includes GeoComm Indoor Maps built using the ArcGIS Indoors data model for maximum interoperability, a web-based Indoor Map Viewer to search, filter, and interact with maps, and an Indoor Map Data Manager that allows authorized local users to submit updates such as room renames, structural changes, and new public safety points of interest to help keep maps current. Ultimately, GeoComm School Safety is designed to connect emergency signals—such as a 9-1-1 call or panic button activation—to authorized school officials and first responders, providing immediate access to detailed, interactive indoor maps of the school. Location information is visualized on a shared operational map, helping responders understand where help is needed and how to get there faster, while alerting other authorized users to the incident in real time. By delivering accurate, actionable location data, GeoComm School Safety supports coordinated response, improved situational awareness, and safer outcomes for students, staff, and first responders.
