Description:
GIS Data Link connects Petrel directly to ArcGIS, eliminating the manual shapefile handoffs and zmap/irap transformation that slow down work between GIS teams and geoscientists. The plugin converts ArcGIS service data into native Petrel objects — point sets, polyline sets, and polygon sets — with symbology, attributes, and layer structure intact. Unlike Petrel's built-in map service display, this gives geoscientists data they can actually work with: readable legends, accessible attribute tables, and proper filtering inside Petrel. Connections include Map Server, Feature Server, Web Map, Web App Builder, and Experience Builder, with single sign-on to ArcGIS Portal or ArcGIS Online. In the other direction, GIS Data Link writes Petrel data directly to ArcGIS Feature Services, mapping attributes and metadata to the target schema field by field, including domain-coded values. Surfaces transfer in both directions as rasters, so depth grids, horizons, and other Petrel surfaces move cleanly between the two platforms. File-based workflows support read and write to File Geodatabases.
