Geographic Computer Technologies, LLC (GCT) is a full service information technology company specializing in the planning, development, and implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related municipal databases. GCT has been in business since 1994 with offices in Metairie, LA (New Orleans area) and Gulfport, MS. Our client base includes all levels of government, from local to Federal, and engineering/planning firms in need of our GIS expertise. The premise that led to our company’s founding was that competent, knowledgeable firms successfully leading GIS projects from conception to completion were few and difficult to find. Our company’s founder previously worked within the public sector at an agency that attempted to modernize and utilize the benefits of GIS technology. To his dismay he discovered a significant lack of professional consultants that comprehended the science and the art of constructing fully functional, custom GIS systems. The realization of this professional void initiated the establishment of GCT. GCT is not an engineering, planning, or surveying firm that decided to get into the GIS business. From the start, GCT was made up of a group of professional database designers, software engineers, GIS analysts and technicians dedicated to mastering the existing GIS technology while evaluating emerging technology for potential use. We are ESRI business partners and were selected new business partner of the year in 2002.
