Introduced in 2001, GPS-Photo Link is the industry standard software for mapping photographs. The software is able to map photographs and accompanying attribute information captured with a smartphone, tablet, GPS camera, or any digital camera used in conjunction with any GPS unit. Digital map output can include Esri shapefiles and geodatabases as well as Google Earth files. Through .csv and .mdb files, the output can be integrated into almost any existing database. The software gives photographers the ability to enter or modify photo attribute data that will be permanently written into the image’s EXIF header. The user can also create customized output for data sharing and reporting including watermarked photos and reports in a variety of formats including .pdf, html, and .doc. The software saves businesses time, money and eliminates the errors introduced during tedious manual data entry.
