Overview


Hyggligt has developed a software for continuous cover forestry that significantly improves its efficiency and economic viability for forest owners. We use laser data and a machine learning model to gather detailed information on every tree within a stand. Then we apply an optimization algorithm developed by a researcher on our team to decide which trees that are to be harvested. Finally, the optimal tree selection is visualized in our visualization tool developed for harvester operators. Our software decreases logging costs as well as greenhouse gas emissions and increases biodiversity in the forest.
