Overview

ICF believes that the confluence of data services and data analytics—including spatial analytics, machine learning, predictive analytics, forecasting, and data visualization—can have a transformational impact on individuals and communities across the globe. An understanding of physical and human geography, integrated with advanced geospatial analyses, is an integral component of the data and analytical solutions of our projects. ICF created the Geospatial Solutions Community of Practice (Geospatial COP) as a way to support this need for professional spatial analytics, cartography, and spatially-oriented decision support tools. This community employs over a dozen professional and technical staff who use desktop GIS, specialized statistical and analytics tools, and web-based data visualization platforms full time, plus subject matter experts who can provide key insights on the application of geospatial tools and data in areas such as climate change, natural hazards, health, marketing, and energy. These professionals create automated analytical models to analyze and present data in high-quality, production level cartographic and decision-support products. As a way to ensure consistent quality, the Community of Practice has developed and adheres to defined geospatial processes and procedures that result in defensible, repeatable and fully documented solutions.

Overview:

At ICF International geospatial analyses are an integral component of the data and analytical solution of nearly all of our projects. ICF created the Geospatial Solutions Community of Practice (GSCP) as a way to support this need for professional spatial analytics and solutions. This community employs dozens of technical and professional staff who use GIS tools full time, plus adjunct users (scientific staff that routinely use GIS as part of their project work) who can create compelling solutions to even the most challenging geospatial issues. These GIS professionals create automated spatial analysis models to analyze and present data in high-quality, production level cartographic products. As a way to ensure consistent quality, the Community of Practice has developed and adheres to defined geospatial processes and procedures that result in defensible, repeatable and well documented solutions
