Founded in 1985, IMS has operated continuously as the premier municipal pavement management and right-of-way (ROW) asset extraction firm throughout the United States. IMS was the first firm to bring automated pavement evaluation to the United States’ market, and we have kept that innovative mindset by continuing to implement state-of-the-art data collection and processing technologies. Our fleet of Road Surface Testers (RST) outfitted with LCMS-2 data collection vehicles is dedicated to municipal pavement data collection in the United States. Our team includes six PhDs, eight pavement engineers, 16 data technicians and GIS experts, and six 2-person field crews for data collection focused exclusively on pavement, infrastructure, and ROW management,. IMS has nine independently certified PCI inspectors. We complete over 100 pavement and asset management implementations annually, and we stand second to none in our ability to establish cost effective maintenance management programs for large and small agencies alike.
