Overview
KBM Forestry Consultants Inc. (operating as KBM Resources Group) was incorporated in the province of Ontario in 1974 and is based in Thunder Bay, with a satellite office in Prince Albert, SK. KBM’s areas of expertise include aerial survey and geomatics, environmental and forestry field data collection, and professional environmental and forest management services.
KBM has been providing GIS services to government and industry (forestry, mining, and utilities) since 1990. In 2004 KBM expanded our Geomatics services to include digital aerial photo acquisition, and more recently have added capacity for LiDAR, oblique photography, video acquisition, and geophysical surveys. We have eight aircraft dedicated to the aerial survey program which offer a stable, efficient, and reliable platform for survey data collection. Experienced crews have a very thorough understanding of project requirements and the importance of ensuring that the data is collected per prescribed flight parameters.
KBM operates a fully functional geomatics lab where we process our own aerial survey data. We also provide advanced spatial data analyses and modelling as well as customized mapping, web-based GIS services and enterprise management.
