Overview:

Kirsty Burt is a leader in the design and management of Geographic Information Systems. She has over 30 years experience in both the technical and management areas of GIS. As the City of Bellevue GIS manager, she put together one of the premier GIS installations in the country, winning the Esri President’s Award for excellence in system development. As an independent consultant, she has led strategic planning efforts, conducted GIS analysis, designed user applications, and developed business processes and functional requirements for disaster planning, utilities, city property and assessments, document management, and others. Kirsty has also done facilitation work with agencies on organizational issues in GIS. Her current passion is creating business workflows and technical solutions for data interoperability among various GIS and CAD platforms, particularly with ArcGIS software. She has experience with many types of GIS and CAD data, including utilities, street and airport pavement management, transportation, natural resources, planning, real estate, emergency response, addresses, and land records. Kirsty Burt’s unique combination of technical and management expertise in GIS allows her to work effectively with both the people and the technology in GIS projects. Her business has been selected twice as Esri Northwest's Partner of the Year.
