Description:
Unmanned aerial systems (UAS) allow safe, accurate, cost-effective data collection in areas that are inaccessible to conventional surveying methods. When compared with manned flights, UAS is less limited by project size, more cost-effective, and less affected by weather conditions, yet unmanned flights achieve the same 5-cm data accuracy. McKim & Creed was one of the first engineering firms in the U.S. to receive a Section 333 exemption/Universal Certificate of Authorization (COA) from FAA. As such, we are early adopters and implementers of UAS technology. In addition, current Part 107 regulations allow us the flexibility to operate the latest airframes and sensors. McKim & Creed's 40 remote pilotes have completed more than 1,000 flights on construction and mapping missions, and have logged more than 300 hours of flight time. Each pilot is FAA Part 107 Certificed and has acquired the state-specified DOT permits to commercially operate drones within his or her respective state. Our UAS data collection services are backed by market-leading processing and extraction technologies. These technologies allow for accurate data post-processing and calibration, effective classification and/or feature extraction, and deliverables in almost any format.
