The Enterprise Snapshot is designed for small agencies or GIS deployments where they are only just beginning their journey to maintaining, aligning, or growing their capability within their organisation. The snapshot is an excellent high-level report to give a paper-based review of the current architecture as well as core business objectives and usage. The output of this engagement is a 5-page report that gives a high-level snapshot of what is going on within an environment and what some immediate recommendations or considerations would be for the team moving forward. These can include things such as: General advice on hardware specifications General advice on business processes General advice on focus areas Overview of GIS capability in reference to the corporate strategy Through this report, a GIS manager should have the required tools to kick of projects or justify further spending as they will have enough initial information to argue the business case for GIS and its relevance to the achievement of corporate goals.
