Pinnacle helped build a VMS for one of their key clients. Managing vegetation on transmission and distribution corridors is essential to the safe supply of electricity. Vegetation programs also comply with the new and emerging regulations, meet public and landowner expectations and consider environmental issues. The VMS developed by Pinnacle focuses on many of the areas noted above. The VMS automates the financial and administrative processes like Bidding, Short-listing of Contactors, Inspection, Forecasting, Invoicing and Payment. It also manages different vegetation management processes like trimming and spraying as well as vegetation area, cycles, rates and chemicals used. VMS has GIS modules that is built to work with the Esri ArcGIS platform. It allows the integration with the enterprise GIS or other IT system. Map based system allowing vegetation management users to leverage all available GIS data. Users can synchronize GIS data on a laptop, tablet, or handheld device and take it to the field, providing the field with a comprehensive view of all pertinent enterprise data.
